It rhymes with ‘Bono’
I’m Jono, a creative copywriter living amongst the sheep paddocks of regional Victoria and working both in Melbourne and remotely.
After doing everything from driving a truck to managing a daycare, I worked in journalism and publishing in Canada, America and the UK before finding my home in Australia – and in advertising.
Along the way, I picked up a few tricks and a lot of experience, which now goes toward producing ideas and crafting copy that entertains, inspires and most of all, persuades.
I reckon that coming into the game a bit later in life made me a rare sort of copywriter – seasoned, but still enthusiastic. I love this business, and now I can't imagine doing anything else.

From the humblest banner ad to the most high-profile 360° campaign, every brief is an opportunity to do something amazing. That’s what they told me in ad school, and in my experience it’s always held true.
Over the years, I’ve had a chance to do a bit of almost everything in the industry: full-scope product launches, scroll-stopping social campaigns, attention-grabbing out-of-home ads, websites that present information crisply and clearly, and emails that actually get read. And I’ve relished each task equally.
